Overview
Within SAP environments, several constraints were identified that directly impacted the reliability of financial reporting. Differences existed between financial accounting values and class zero accounts, while standard validation rules were not always able to ensure the required level of consistency.
At the same time, the reliance on manual analysis made the process time-consuming and prone to error, further aggravated by the lack of tools capable of supporting detailed analysis and rapid corrections, including at the BL level and exception handling.
This scenario significantly increased the risk associated with legal compliance obligations and the overall quality of system integrations.
We supported a public sector organization in modernizing and optimizing its SAP system, improving data integration and efficiency in financial management.

Solution
ToInovate implemented an integrated solution that combined the configuration of mandatory reporting templates with the installation and customization of the USDMT v2.1 tool, adapting it to the specific requirements of the client’s SAP environment.
This approach enabled the system with advanced capabilities for selecting and analyzing budgetary information, as well as automated validation mechanisms and inconsistency detection processes. The solution also allowed for efficient error correction, ensuring alignment with UniLEO and SNC-AP requirements.
The entire process was developed in close collaboration with the Infraestruturas de Portugal team, ensuring an implementation tailored to the existing operational reality.
Results
The project was completed within the established timeline and supported by a smooth transition process, enabled through an intuitive and user-friendly interface.
The solution significantly reduced the manual effort associated with data validation, increasing both speed and efficiency in the analysis and correction of inconsistencies. As a result, the client gained full autonomy in validating reporting templates and managing the reporting process for UniLEO and SNC-AP, while simultaneously ensuring full compliance with legal obligations.
The robust performance of the tool, combined with features such as validation traffic lights, automatic job execution, and rapid analysis capabilities, contributed to a substantial improvement in the reliability and efficiency of reporting processes.
